We have a lot of experience in tourism, where we learnt about operating treks, and began to develop ideas for our own agency. we have always felt strongly about, so we took the opportunity to make a difference when we started Sanctuary treks Peru.
Sanctuary treks Peru include providing uniforms, good quality equipment, a fair and legal wage, and medical insurance to cover any injuries for our guests and workers.
We have 15 years of experience, during which we have overcome a variety of challenges, especially related to the increased popularity of Peru, and especially the Inca Trail and as an official tour guide.
We are committed to using eco-friendly products, and always sourcing our produce from local providers, in order to minimalise the footprint we leave behind and we help children in treir learning by bringing study materials.
We have worked with numerous guides, porters and chefs, each of whom have been trained in our ethical and sustainable tourism policies. Some of these staff have even gone on to start their own tour companies and agencies, putting these policies into effect, and continuing to practise the type of tourism that Sanctuary treks Peru is so proud of.
We thank you for choosing to travel with us and continuing to support the community and people of Cusco especially to the children who are our future and live in place far from scarce resources and its surrounding areas.
